This course is for Real Estate licensees who have previously renewed their license.
Requirements
Students taking this course must be licensed real estate agents or brokers looking to renew their real estate license. This course should be taken and approved before the license expiration date.
Description
This course includes the Florida Core Law, Business ethics, fair housing, property management, risk management, homeowners’ insurance, real estate economics and valuations, analysis of capital gain and cash flow, Florida sales contracts, pre-closing and closing.
This continuing education course has been approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) and DBPR, and it is following all requirements for real estate license renewal. The end-of-course exam has 30 multiple-choice questions of which you must answer at least 80% correctly to pass the course. Per Florida law, students failing the Commission-prescribed course examination must repeat the course of study prior to being eligible to retake the course examination, which must be a different examination from the one the student previously failed.
In case you fail to pass this course on your first try you will have 4 more attempts (five in total). Upon passing your continuing education course, the DBPR will be notified electronically, and you will be able to complete the steps to renew your license. Do not forget to pay the renewal fees to the DBPR if you have not already paid them.
